Do you only accept specific insurance providers?
We are affiliated with most insurance companies.

What are your hours of operation?
Hours of operation are 7am - 5:30pm with extended hours of operation for MR. The front office will be open for scheduling from 7 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Is it true you have an open, stand-up MRI that is the only one of its kind in Central Louisiana?
Yes, the FONAR, Stand-Up MRI features unclosed architecture, which allows patients to sit back, relax and enjoy a 42" plasma screen TV during their exam.

Can I eat and take medication before my exam?
Since some of our exams require different protocols, it is best for you to call and check with one of our staff members.

How long does the exam take?
Exams range in length. The following are approximate estimates and do not include check in time.

• MR's:45 minutes
• CT's: 15-30 minutes
• Ultrasounds: 15-30 minutes
• X-ray: 5 minutes

Will I need someone to accompany me for my exam?
Some of our exams do require to have someone accompany you, such as arthograms and injections performed within MIIGS, our interventional radiology facility.

How soon will I get my results?
We provide rapid report turnaround and send your results directly to your referring physician.
